Anne Louise MacDonald
Anne Louise MacDonald has been taking photos for many years, learning the art of composition and technical detail from her talented photographer husband, Frank. She became seriously addicted to photography in 2008, when her sister encouraged her to open a Flickr account (under ‘Hug a Horse‘). Since then, her images have garnered her much attention on the web. Her favourite subjects include her horses and gardens and the nature of Antigonish County. Anne Louise is also an internationally bestselling children’s author with six books published. The latest is a non-fiction children’s book about horse care, fully illustrated with her own photos. Anne Louise MacDonald works part time at St. F.X. University as the manager of Animal and Plant Care and fills the rest of her day with her creative activities.
“I take photos of things that stop me in my tracks. Unexpected moments of beauty, especially i the colours, shapes, and patterns of living things… and the light- it’s always about the light.”
