Kyra Lambert is an emerging curator and established artist. Currently, Kyra is a goldsmith’s apprentice on the South Shore in addition to her role with Antigonight as Curator and Artistic Director. She completed the Craft Create residency with Craft Nova Scotia in the summer of 2024, producing a body of work titled 'Sappho’s Fragments' that went on to exhibit at the New York City Jewellery Fashion Week and the Mary E. Black Gallery in Halifax.
Kyra’s curatorial ethos celebrates folk art and storytelling beyond the confines of traditional presentation structure. Being named Artistic Director/Curator of the Antigonight Arts festival has been a real full circle moment for Lambert. As a previous resident of Antigonish, she holds reverence for the town and its lore.
Cassie is a New Waterford girl (of film and birthright) now living in Pomquet. Her artistic journey has taken her across screens, stages, and studios as an actor, singer-songwriter, and painter.
Cassie spent the previous 5 years at Unama’ki Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design, coordinating arts programs and exhibitions, and managing The Gallery Shop.
As Festival Coordinator for Antigonight 2025, she is thrilled to be exploring new connections within the vibrant arts community of Antigonish.
Sarahi is originally from Ecuador and she’s going into her third year in Business and Math at StFX. She’s passionate about community, connection, and creativity. Whether she’s dancing, making beaded earrings or experimenting with makeup her love for self-expression shines through. As this year’s Community Engagement Coordinator, she’s excited to help bring to life a festival experience that’s vibrant, inclusive, and full of heart.
As a third-year St. Francis Xavier University student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies, Maya is deeply invested in the social and cultural life of Antigonish.
Originally from Quebec, Antigonish has become her home for the past three years. During this time, she had the chance to build meaningful connections within the community through social work opportunities, campus initiatives, local arts events, and collaborative volunteer projects.
Maya is passionate about inclusive and accessible spaces that celebrate diversity and creativity while appreciating and honouring the community’s assets.
